Lately, I've been craving sweets because I've been trying to lose some weight and the more I deprive myself of them, the more I crave them. So, I decided to make peach cobbler to satisfy my craving and to treat our company last night. I mention this to Josh and, to my utter shock and surprise, he tells me that I'll be eating it alone. He doesn't like peach cobbler! WHO DOESN'T LIKE PEACH COBBLER?!?!?!?!?!? I don't think you can claim to be from the South and not like peach cobbler. I think most of you would agree, right? This is such a shock because I can't believe I'm hearing him say this. Peach cobbler is one of my all time favorite desserts and I can't imagine living a lifetime without ever making or eating it again. I'm also shocked because I never knew this about him. I knew he was a picky eater but how can you not like peaches? He said he would try some but he didn't and I don't think he will. Our company didn't want any either so I'm stuck with whole dish of it. I'm going to send Josh to work with it tomorrow and hopefully the guys there will eat it up!

Today has been a great day so far! I sold my first embroidered gift set without them messaging me first to someone I don't know. I'm working on getting it stitched out as I'm typing. This is very exhilarating and little by little I can see my business is growing. Some day... not a day anytime soon.... but some day in the distant future, I may just be able to stay at home and embroider for work! How great would that be? Josh is out golfing with a friend today so I have time to work on this project. When he gets home, we're planning to go to the pool. It's a beautiful day and we want to take advantage of the nice weather.

  1. Send some peach cobbler my way, I'll eat it with you :) You know Shannon, even after being married to Travis for 10 years, I'm still learning new things about him. When it comes to food, I'm more versatile with my tastes too so Travis and I have nights where we just have separate meals ... we eat together but have different looking plates :) You'll find that dessert will be the same way in the Pitchford household when you get the craving for sweets.

Oh, and funny enough, I was not a sweets person until I started running. I can't get enough chocolate or dessert now! It's weird how our body wants to fight against our plan of losing weight ;)
