This is a blog about my life in the suburbs of Chicago! I'm a small town kind of gal from North Augusta, South Carolina. I've lived near the beach since 2001 (first in Charleston and then near Hilton Head) until June 2010 when I was transplanted to what I hear is much like the North Pole due to my husband's employment.

After waiting all year, Isla finally learned to say my name!
Isla first called me "Mine" when I asked her what my name was. From there, she called me "shockee," "Shee, Shee" and finally "Shannon." It's too cute and I love to hear her call my name!
